Tushi loved the aquarium. It could have been her own reflection in all the glass but nonetheless she had a blast. We saw Sea turtles, salmon, colorful sea horses, jellyfish, penguins and a big octopus. We even saw pink flamingos. Tushi had a chance to stick her hand in the tide pools and get a first hand experience at what the great ocean feels like. She wasnt crazy about the kelp!
Unfortunately we also learned a lot about the warming sea temperature and how the creatures that live there aren't able to adapt. We were reminded to reduce our carbon footprint to help these creatures live a more peaceful life in the sea. We learned that eating less red meat is a great way to help the oceans. Mama is even more charged than ever on "practically" being a vegetarian! After all the fun at the aquarium, we had a vegetarian lunch (of course) and hit the road back to Palo Alto. Tushi was so tired from all the activity she took a nice long nap all the way back home.

Trip To Monterey
I had to make a work trip to Monterey this month so Baba and Tushi decided to join me and check out the sites. We made a pit stop on our way down to visit with the other Marku's....Auxe Alfred, Zia Antonella, Lydia and Kevin. The cousins all had fun playing especially with Martino (the dog!). It was a quick visit because we had to hit the road for Monterey. We had a view from our hotel room of the Monterey Peninsula. The next morning when I finished my appointment at the hospital the 3 of us checked out the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
